Really? Nobody's gonna take issue with my posts about John Cage and Samuel Beckett, and abstract painting (see Art Snark posts)? There are no closet Cage fans out there, or even Philip Glass aficionados? I find that hard to believe. One red dot in the center of an otherwise blank canvas does not a piece of artwork make.
To the person who designed the scenery for a production of Puccini's Madame Butterfly that I recently saw: one massive boulder in the middle of the stage and NOTHING ELSE does not constitute scenery. Go back to your Beginning Scene Design class and take better notes.
